Soon You’ll Be 360 Billion Years Old… Here’s Why That Matters Now

If you live through the Second Coming and enter eternity with Christ, then one day — in a future so vast the human mind fails to grasp it — you will be 360 billion years old. And the astonishing part? You will not feel tired, aged, or diminished. You will be radiant with immortal strength, your mind operating at full God-designed capacity, your heart overflowing with joy that only increases with every passing age.

This is not fantasy. This is Bible truth.

Scripture declares that those who follow the Lamb “shall reign for ever and ever” (Revelation 22:5). The Greek phrase means ages upon ages, cycles of time without end, existence that knows no decay. Ellen White wrote that the redeemed will “live through eternal ages” (GC 678) and that eternity will be “one round of glory” ever unfolding before the children of God.

Our pioneers understood this deeply. They wrote boldly of the “endless ages of the saved,” the time when the universe becomes the schoolroom of the redeemed, and Christ Himself becomes the Instructor (see James White, Present Truth). For the early Advent believers, eternity wasn’t an abstract doctrine — it was the blazing reality that shaped how they lived every single day.

Think about it:
In 360 years, you would still be a newborn in eternity.
In 360,000 years, you would barely be past infancy.
In 360 million years, you would just be getting started.
In 360 billion years, your existence has not even touched the shoreline of God’s infinite ocean.

And yet — your decisions right now, during your brief vapor of earthly life (James 4:14), determine whether you will inherit that eternal future.

This is why Ellen White wrote with such urgency:

  • We are standing on the very borders of the eternal world.” (COL 373)

  • Eternity stretches before us. The curtain is about to be lifted.” (8T 314)

  • What we do not overcome now, can never be overcome.” (5T 466)

Heaven is real. Immortality is real. The kingdom Christ is preparing is real. What God has planned for His faithful people is so expansive that the human brain cannot compute it in its fallen state.

Imagine exploring galaxies with Christ.
Imagine walking through the gates of the New Jerusalem, a city made of solid gold.
Imagine standing on the sea of glass with the redeemed of all ages.
Imagine finally speaking to the guardian angel who protected you through every danger and temptation.
Imagine learning, creating, building, discovering, without sin, without decay, without limits.

This is what you were created for.

This is why your choices today matter.
This is why faithfulness matters.
This is why surrender matters.
This is why walking with Christ matters.

Because soon — unimaginably soon — mortality will “put on immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:53), and the redeemed will step across the boundary from time into forever.

You were made in the image of God, built for ages that never end.
Live like someone who knows eternity is real.
Live like someone who knows Christ is soon to come.
Live like someone who will be 360 billion years old and still rising higher.

Eternity is almost open before us. Now is the time to prepare.
