The seven seals is the history of God’s church from the time Jesus set it up in 31 A.D. all the way to His second coming.
The first seal is the history of the Christian church from 31 A.D. to 100 A.D. It was symbolized by a white horse which represented the purity of the faith of the believers.
It opened at the inauguration of Christ as high priest in the heavenly sanctuary and closed at the death of John the revelator in 100 A.D.
Then the second seal immediately opened in 100 A.D. The second seal is the history of the Christian church from 100 A.D. to 313 A.D. It is symbolized by a red horse which foretold the age of persecution.
In 313 the second seal closed with the Edict of Milan. This edict stopped persecution and gave religious tolerance for Christianity in the Roman empire.
The third seal immediately opened in 313 A.D. The third seal is the history of the Christian church from 313 to 538 A.D. It is symbolized by a black horse which shows you the age of superstition and darkness in the Church.
Under the second and third seals, Satan paved the way for the creation of the papacy, the Roman Catholic pagan church.
In 538 A.D. the third seal closed and the fourth immediately opened. The Fourth seal is the history of the Christian church from 538 A.D. to 1517 A.D. It is symbolized by a pale horse, which represents God’s children going into death, caskets, and the dust of the earth, by papal persecution.
The history of the Christian church under the first 4 seals of Revelation 6 are symbolized by horses. Horses in Bible prophecy represents battle and war.
“The HORSE is prepared against the day of BATTLE: but safety is of the Lord.” (Proverbs 21:31)
The first 4 seals shows you the war against God’s Church by the powers of darkness and the battles that Christian warriors had to fight in early Christianity.
Are you successfully fighting your daily battles as a good soldier of Christ Jesus? Are you rising back up when you fall and lose a battle?
“A just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.” (Proverbs 24:16)
